These images were provided by WaitUp2 of the DelphiForums.com Yamaha Raider forum.

They show how he connected an Oil Pressure gauge to his Yamaha Raider.

Follow the silver braided hose from the oil port mounting location, up to the actual gauge.  Click on an image for the full size  version.  Navigate from one picture to the next by click on right or left half of the picture. (Instructions below)

Mod instructions provided by WaitUp2 (Dan):

Parts needed to hook up gauge to bike

QTY;

(1) Yamaha part #90401-00 called a banjo bolt 8mmx1.25 thread

(2) Yamaha part #90201-08087 Called copper crush washers

(2) Need Two 3/16 I.D. X5/16 O.D. o-rings from your local home depot or Lowes

(1) Oil filled gauge 0-100 psi from maybe J&P or wherever.

(1) steel braided hose 3/AN fitting with a 10mm banjo head as in the picture.
The hose that (was) used was 18 inches but it could have been at least 24 inches to reach up to the rear chrome coil cover to mount further up .

This is a simple mod.

Now the two rubber o-rings are meant to center the 8mm banjo bolt inside the 10mm banjo fitting on the hose. You put one copper washer on and then a o-ring and then you will do this to the side also that mounts to the engine.

Now remember that the banjo bolt is a hollow bolt, so don't go gorilla when tightened this up. If you do you will most likely have a broken bolt.

The brake reinforced hose that I had was from a local speed shop with the straight 10mm banjo fitting and the female fitting on the other end. Paid 10 dollars.

If your oil gauge does not come with a adapter for the hose just go to Napa and get a 1/8 female to male 3AN adapter to hook to the hose.

Now you can improve on my install to suit your liken.

Good Luck and make sure no leaks......Dan

This was an install that came about after searching long and hard and I came across someone who done a similiar post on a Road Star and that is when the light bulb really got super bright.

I almost forgot to say that I used a rubber insulated hose bracket to mount this to a small plate I formed out a piece of metal.
